For those who know me, I have a soft spot for airy rustic intimate weddings, and this wedding that I recently shot at the Peninsula Garden Suite easily made it to my 2017 favourites list thanks to the beautiful floral arrangements and calligraphy.
my first shoot at the Gold Coast Yacht & Country Club turned out to be one of the most beautiful and memorable weddings in hong kong that i have either shot or witnessed... it was beautiful, simple, and intimate... the sort of wedding that touches every guests' heart, the sort of weddings that every one of the guests get to have a deep and touching conversation with the newly wed, the sort of weddings that I love shooting most as always an abundance of smiles, hugs, happy tears that i love capturing...
last and definitely not least... to the beautiful and kindhearted couple... Rosanna & Leonard!
I always have a soft spot for simple intimate weddings because they always have an abundance of natural smiles, tears, and human touches that I absolutely love capturing! This is why I particularly love shooting at The Pool House in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong because its size and setting is perfect for intimate weddings with plenty of natural light!
When I first met with Carmen and Callum and they told me that they will have their wedding ceremony at the Island ECC church and the dinner reception at The Pool House, I knew immediately that it was going to be a beautiful shoot... it turned out to be one of my favourite shoots in 2016! Thankful!
Thank you again to Iris and Max and Bride and Breakfast for the lovely feature, you guys make my day! Feeling motivated and blessed!

Haven't done any leisure photo taking for years....... it was the first day in weeks that we can actually see the sun, and the three of us (me, my wife, and Tigger) were heading to Central for a client meeting anyways so I thought "why not!". Also I think this was the first time I tried the true snapshooting technique with all auto settings (Program mode with ISO 1000) and avoided the viewfinder for most of my 200 frames of the day...... FUNpriority!
Towards the end of a delightful day of engagement photoshoot with Annisa and Oliver, the idea of making this love-at-first-sight comic strip popped up when I found this artistic-looking tree with a clean white background (the sky).... here is what I came up with 6 hours after the photoshoot, enjoy :)
It was one of the most difficult shoots in 2011 as I had to handle all snapshots, standards, and group photos all by myself for the full day. Thankful for the very kind couple's and families' wonderful hospitality, I felt like a guest myself and really enjoyed the joy and love throughout the day. Also a big thank you to my partner Ivy for helping with the off-camrea flash in the evening, it worked marvelously!
This was my first attempt with maternity photography, and I must say I was really really nervous before the session. At the end everything turned out great, the session was fun (thx to the playful couple Cherry and Jarek), the softbox flash worked smoothly, and the indoor flare effect worked beautifully as planned. I hope you will love the photos as much as I do. Can't wait to photograph my 2nd maternity session!
I am both thrilled and blessed to have my 2nd award-winning wedding photo from the Artistic Guild of the WPJA (AG|WPJA)!
It was both the beautiful detail of the wedding dress and the simple action of the bride putting on her boots that led me to this beautiful photo! Big hands to the beautiful bride - Chui!
The Judges' Comment:
I like the head not showing and only seeing a bit of the hair. Toning and detail is nice.
